     NUMW NOTES

November update of activities from the

 Northglenn United Methodist Women

                                                

All women are welcome at any NUMW activity.

 

 

·         THE “GREAT BEAR HUNT”

Cuddly bears are being collected for the children who have experienced trauma and are being helped by the nearby North Area Child Advocacy Center.

 ·         “SPIRIT OF GIVING” ALL CHURCH BRUNCH

Sun. Nov. 30th                                                                                       10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

To celebrate the first Sunday of Advent, UMW is planning an All-Church brunch.  More details will follow.

·         WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Tues. Dec. 9th                                            6:00 p.m.                                   Fellowship Hall

             Please note the change in the date of the Women’ Christmas party called “Italian Festa.”   

             There will be delicious food and holiday fun for all the women of the church.

·         WOMEN’S BEAN PROJECT -  Orders taken Nov. 9, 16

Support women striving for economic independence by purchasing delicious soups, etc.  Pick-up on Nov. 23rd.

We are a very vital and active part of the church. We invite all ladies to join us in any of our activities. The following groups meet on a regular basis : (Some do not meet in the summer.)

Groups

Yellow Rose and Faith Circles

 

Yellow Rose – The Yellow Rose Group will meet on Weds., Nov. 12th at 9:30 in the Library.  Gay Weber will be giving a Book Talk for our program this month.

 Kaleidoscope – Kaleidoscope will meet on Mon., Nov. 10th at 7 pm at Mary Lou Nolan’s home.

 Yadah, Yadah – This study group will meet on the first Monday of the month, at 9:30 in the Library.  Contact Gay Weber for more information.

 Cuddlemakers – They meet the 1st Mon. of the month in the Education Building, from 9:30 to 11:30.  We would like donations of heavy material at this time for book bags.  For more information, call Joyce Priest.

 Quilters – This group meets each Thursday at Doris Williams’ house from 9-12 am.  Give her a call,  if you need directions.

 O-O’s- They meet on Nov. 6th at 7pm.  Call Mary Lou Nolan  or Marji Myers  for details.

 

 

Women’s Coffee Group meets every Wednesday morning @ 8am for intergenerational fellowship at the

Forza on 104th & Federal.  Feel free to come join us any Wednesday

 

 

 

The UMW group as a whole sponsors several events during the year, such as an Annual Garage Sale, a Mother’s Day banquet or tea, a July Salad Supper, and a Retreat. We provide and serve food for funerals and receptions. The money we make goes to local charities and the Conference UMW, as well as projects in our church.
